Learn to Skate - Basic Skating Skills program |

The St. Lawrence Centre Arena is offering a 9-session Learn to Skate program for beginners and skaters in Basic 1-8. The 9-week program begins August 1 and continues every Sunday from 4:00 - 5:15pm. (On August 15 the time will be 1:45-3:00pm). Skaters will learn the basic fundamentals of ice skating in a group lesson setting from a USFSA certified instructor. Skate rentals will be provided free of charge during the lesson if your child does not have their own skates. Helmets will also be provided, but due to a limited availability it is recommended to bring a helmet with you. As a special offer your child will receive up to 10 free public skating admissions to be used while enrolled in the program. |

Figure Skating Schools Spring Figure Skating School The St. Lawrence Centre Arena conducts a Spring Figure Skating School sponsored by the Massena Figure Skating Club followed by a USFSA test session. Participants must have successfully completed the Basic 8 program prior to enrollment. Spring Figure Skating School will be held from April 27 to June 5, 2010, on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Summer Figure Skating From June 28 to August 13, 2010 the St. Lawrence Centre Arena will hold a Summer Figure Skating session on Monday and Friday from 10:30am - 12:30pm. There will not be a test session held for this program. The cost for this 7-week package is $150 per person. Space is limited and fills quickly. Open Freestyle The St. Lawrence Centre Arena conducts Open Freestyle Sessions throughout the year.
